#62- The Wando Wonder

#62 is an American Crab from Wando South Carolina, who one day found himself on a piece of driftwood in the Wando River, floating downstream toward Charleston. He soon became the talk of the Crab Racing scene in Charleston's French Quarter. Shortly thereafter he moved up I26 toward Columbia, SC and points northwest, building fame as he went. He ended up in Gatlinburg for an extended stay and wowed the Crab Racing Circuit as "The Wando Wonder". In 2011 he was in Indianapolis for a Memorial Day appearance and decided to drop in on the legendary Sonny's Crab Racing at Folkie's.
Needless to say, the top-notch racing, as well as the amenities, suited him and he began a 7-month residence in which he posted numbers that are still at the top of the League Record Books. In a 267 (2nd in league history) day career from May 2011 into February of 2012, he ran 65 (league record) races, scoring 227 (2nd in league history) points. He scored 16 wins (2nd in league history), 9 seconds (2nd in league history), 5 thirds (2nd in league history), and 5 Hearty Waves (league record). All while going on 4.1 (2nd in league history) days between races.
