Part of the legendary Cuban National Crab Racing Team, #83 defected to the United States during an exhibition tour of the South Carolina Coastal Crab Racing Conference (SCCCRC).
He immediately moved to the Pros, joining Sonny’s Crab Racing in April of 2013. He started out with a string of 29 straight semi-final appearances, a league record that still stands. His career lasted 52 races and he reached the semis in all but 2 starts.
He holds 6 league records and was the first inductee into the Crab Racing Hall of Fame. Among CrabHeads, #83 is considered the “Greatest Crab of All Time”. On a side note, his original owner was Raul Castro’s Podiatrist.
