Hoy Hoy!! Greetings from Casa Dos Gatos!
Hope everything's well up that way. A great autumn day at the compound. Gotta get to that grass pretty soon or the reel mower won't be able to handle it. Maybe tomorrow. Maybe not.
Watched a great movie the other night, "The Last Waltz". Had to be the 10th or 12th time. Never gets old. I would say that if you haven't seen it in the last thirty days, go find it now. Got to be one of the goose-pimpliest concerts I've ever seen. And it doesn't hurt to have Scorsese telling you where to stand either. Go get it now. I'll wait.
An electric night of racing this evening. A couple short of a sellout, but the place was packed. Extra chairs on race row and most of the attendees were players. An added bonus, the return of Jay & Anna! A feast for the eyes and the heart (and Anna's not bad either). They were on the row along with Brenda, a guy with a cell phone, Dr Carl, Holly, Mike, Sheryl, Richard, The Young Woman with Richard, Heather, and the guy we referred to last week as "the dude with Heather" who this week shall be called "Mark". Although we won't be referring to Mark again, as his Crab choosing prowess was evidently at an ebb.
Kind of a rough night for the Facial Shotters, who had their normal table well manned. In the first race, their Crab #89 got a full arm point from Mike in the front row. And then in the last semifinal, Paula, who'd had joined the row at halftime, stuck a cameraphone with a very bright light in the same Crab's face. Sonny stopped the race and reran it, but 89 took a while to get going and ended up losing by the warning track. They were none too happy. I guess that's racing. If they think that's bad, they would have loved racing with the Donkey Bottom Biters, or the Red-Headed Bitch Sisters From the Eternal Fires O.H.A.M.L.I. That was cutthroat racing.
Like I said, a big crowd. The Original Sarah had a table full by the phone. Matt, Rob, and Dave were in the Skyboxes at the bar, and there was another table full behind Facial Shot. They were down from Fort Wayne. Sonny said one of the girls was a fellow screener with him at the airport. Her name was Sarah and her sister was Meghan (it was Meghan's birthday). Steve drivin' the bus, Rick behind the bar, Nelia in the kitchen, Rhonda on the floor, and me, I was up on Cripple Creek, Spike Jones on the box-

Excellent evening of racing. Oh yeah, no Super Folkie. He was fired last week and his replacement abandoned the shell. Too much pressure I guess.
I assume you guys are playing in Fairmount this weekend. You're almost a fixture over there (although not in the porcelain sense). You guys usually play somewhere Sunday as well, don't you? Not sure where we'll be. If we stick around maybe I'll conquer my Enochlocrackerphobia and we'll come see you. Let me know what's happening.
Well, this one looks like it's done. I went back and put in some links I think you'll enjoy. Hope to see you this weekend and as they say in Finland "Nimittäin merirapu kilpa-ajo"!
