Another exquisite night at the Rainbo Room, deep in the heart of the Rainbo Multiplex. Football’s on the table and love is in the air. Or maybe that’s the fryer. Whatever it is, it sure smells good. The crowd fits the room nicely and we started five Crabs short of a sellout. Sean working the slab, Jessica on the floor (SERVING US ALL!!!), and the Ultra-Fantastical Shannon as Your Crab Racing DJ.
The crowd rebounded nicely from the Trivia Jeopardy Debacle of October 27th. Sonny took it easy on them though, with answers like Walt Disney (cartoons), Cairo (corn syrup), and Mr. and Mrs. Grant (who were Ulysses Grant’s parents). So they could hardly go wrong. Tom rode #85, Fast Eddie to Third Place. Rick finished Second with #28, Big Dick. And Chrissy topped the podium with #12 Haw Hee.
These being Professional Racing Crabs, they generally finish on the short side of 9:30. Unfortunately, the song in Race Eleven was “Tequila” and if I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a thousand times, don’t get Sonny started about tequila. Anyway, they finished Plus Two. Sonny and his Fabulous Racing Crabs will return to the Rainbo Room with their Special Crab Racing USA/Christmas Extraveganza. Can't miss that, see you there.
