Greetings from the Casa dos Gatos. Spent a wonderful afternoon outside stompin’ around the compound. Shoving snow and bustin’ ice. Like I was saying to Mrs. Jxn- I really hate winter, but there are days when I can see the attraction. Anyway, everything’s ready for the next onslaught and the days are getting longer. March is just around the corner.
Sorry for the delay. Inventory time at the day job. I’m afraid the real world has intruded on my Crab Time and the lateness of this post is a symptom. Hopefully balance will return in short order. I’ll try to recapture the evening to best of my memory and limited ability.
A surprisingly good crowd on hand on quite the raw evening tonite in the friendly confines. It was SRO by the end of the show with most of the major teams represented. Team Hincky, Goondock Saints, the Defending Champs- Facial Shot Racing, The Crustacean Sensations, and a new team, The Sapphire Racing League. Even scraped together a Chainsaw Sisters entry. Steve’s a little under the weather, Sarah’s filling in from the Skyboxes. Ricky Four Inch is behind the Bar, Thursday Night Shane is in the Kitchen, and on the floor, (SERVING US ALL!!!), Rhonda.

Cripes! What a night. That has to rank as one of my crappiest shows ever. Very Enthusiastic crowd, but the loud people were people who didn’t know the shtick. A truly weird night. Sapphire Racing League posts an impressive 9 points in their first week of racing with three of the four semifinal winners. Of course those points are probationary until they race three times. The amazing Crustacean Sensations snatch (nice) the second place points to get on the board for 2009.
The Crusty little fellows return to Folkie’s on the 21st. Sign-up begins at 7:30 with the Obligatory Shell-Hauling starting at 8:00. Get there early and get right down on Race Row! Until then, he’s Sonny Starr.
