2012 Year End Wrap Up

Happy New Year to all of our CrabHeads around the world! 2012 was a groundbreaking year for Crab Racing with a record setting performance from this year's Folkie's Crab Racing League Champions- The Crustacean Sensations. The Sensations used the new "Powell Doctrine" rule change to maximum effect, racking up 110 Preliminary points to go with their 120 Finals points, eclipsing the Second Place House team by more than 70 points. The 120 Finals Points beats the previous "Old Rules" mark of 117 points set by The Crabby Old Pharts in 2010. Well done indeed!

One rule change for 2013, Any Unaffiliated Racers, whose points were previously attributed to "The House" team, will be honorary members of the Folkie's Fockers and have their ranking points scored to the Fockers' total.

2012 also marked the beginning of our Live Webcasts from three of our venues. Viewers from as far away as Montana, Texas, Oregon  and even Australia took time to watch our little show and cheer on their favorites (and perhaps sing along, if the mood struck them!).

Thanx to all of our venues- Folkie's in Marion (the Wrigley Field of Crab Racing), Dill Street Bar & Grill in The Village in Muncie (home of the twenty-five cent long-necks), The Hi Ho Again in Poe (the craziest crowd in Crab Racing), and Barney's in Elkhart (the best female DJ on the planet) and a great thanx to all of the CrabHeads that come out race after race to make Crab Racing the phenomena that it has become!
