Hoy hoy CrabHeads!
Less than a week until the start of the 2016 season! And we'll be awarding the Cowboy Cup to the 8th Champion of the Folkie's Crab Racing League (FCRL) on opening night!
We will also be inducting the Class of 2016 into the Crab Racing Hall of Fame. This year is extra special, with our first two member class. Induction is based on two criteria- first, the Crab must have had an outstanding career as a racer, and second, the Crab must be deceased, passed on, no more, ceased to be... You get the idea.
Anyway, the first inductee is #92. He ran from December of 2014 until May of 2015, with a huge win percentage and a big PPR. The second member is #53. Did I mention that #53 has run down the curtain and joined the choir invisible, is an ex-crab, as it were? Well, he is. He had a great run from July through November, so he'll get his own acrylic crystal case with imitation walnut base!
So make it a point to get to Folkie's next Wednesday, the 13th, and join us for the most exciting 90 minutes in sports. And remember, 2016 in the year of the TRAIN! Any night that we have 36 entries, the TRAIN comes out, and all bets are off (that's just a saying. There is no gambling at Bushwood Sir). Anyway, it's a lot of fun.
